Anna is originally from North Carolina, where she earned her undergraduate degree
in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Spanish from The University of North
Carolina at Greensboro. After taking time to strengthen her Spanish-speaking skills
by backpacking through Central America, she moved to Austin to pursue a Master's
degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She graduated in May 2011 from UT Austin with
a bilingual certificate. Anna has experience with
children whose ages range from 3 months to adolescence in a variety of settings including medical, school, and outpatient rehabilitation. She has worked with Spanish- and English-speaking children with a variety of needs, including autism, language impairment, phonological disorders, feeding difficulties, fluency disorders, traumatic brain injury, and developmental apraxia of speech. Anna is excited to be part of the KidTherapy team, and especially enjoys playing a role in the multidisciplinary approach to working with kids and their families to facilitate communication skills and confidence.
