What is the difference between Occupational and Physical therapy?

This quick video is very informative and discusses the different areas treated by physical and occupational therapists: YouTube video

What age ranges do you treat?

We treat all children and adolescents from birth until 21 years of age.

How do I get started?

If you believe that your child would benefit from an evaluation please call us at 512.916.1511 and we’ll help you get started. After the initial evaluation, your therapist will give you recommendations on whether continued therapy intervention is warranted. Your therapist will then work with you to determine the most appropriate frequency and duration for continued therapy. Please don’t hesitate to ask us any question. We are here to help you and your child achieve your goals! Click here for our contact page.

Do I need a prescription from a doctor?

We do work under a physician's order, however, we can usually help with that process. Call us with your concerns and we will contact your physician to help attain a referral if appropriate!

Do you offer weekend hours?

Yes, we are open Saturdays from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm. The clinic is closed on Sunday. Click here for our complete hours.

Do you work with children who have feeding disorders?

Yes, we have a number of speech therapists who treat feeding disorders and eating difficulties. Click here to learn more about Speech therapy at Kidtherapy.

How does scheduling work?

After your first appointment, if the therapist recommends treatment, your child will be scheduled for therapy on a regular and reoccurring basis. Most appointments are weekly and the time slot(s) is/are yours for as long as necessary or available.
